How to Pack Your Vape Safely in a Backpack
Carrying a vape in your backpack is a common, convenient way to take it with you on the go, but if you just toss it in loose with all your other gear, you run a high risk of unexpected damage, leaks or accidental activation. A backpack gets jostled, pressed, and turned upside down constantly, and the items inside shift around with every single movement you make. With a few simple, no-fuss storage habits, you can keep your device secure, leak-free and ready to use whenever you need it, without any of the common problems that come from careless packing.
Use a Small, Hard Protective Case to Prevent Crushing and Leaks
The single most effective step you can take is to place your vape inside a small, hard, sealed protective case before you put it anywhere in your backpack. A hard case keeps the device from getting crushed under heavy books, laptops, water bottles or other items that shift around as you walk. It also creates a solid barrier that prevents any sharp edges, zippers or metal objects inside your bag from scratching, denting or puncturing the outer casing. If your device has a firing button, a hard case will keep it from getting pressed accidentally while your bag is bouncing around, which prevents unexpected battery drain and overheating. Never store your backpack in places where temperatures can spike, like a parked car on a sunny day, because extreme heat builds up pressure inside the device and can force liquid to leak past the internal seals. If you carry water bottles or drinks in your backpack, make sure they are sealed tightly and stored in a completely separate compartment from the case holding your vape, because even a small spill can seep through fabric and damage the device.
